Sharepoint Architect /Developer

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the IT Director, the SharePoint Architect\Developer will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, development, testing and deployment of a company centric SharePoint solution. This position will lead the Software Development Life Cycle, including analysis, design and testing of the Microsoft SharePoint environment. This position will also be responsible for evaluating the existing SharePoint Farms and Environment, provide live support and current production modifications as needed while developing an aggressive migration plan and schedule to meet new SharePoint initiatives. This is a hands-on technical role.

Design solutions that leverage the use of out-of-the-box Microsoft SharePoint 2013/O365 functionality and capabilities if possible.

Develop and promote best practices for usage, operations and development.

Work on multiple projects concurrently, monitor activity, progress and time related to project development.

Collaborate with management personnel and team members form a variety of departments and/or functional areas in the development of a unified company theme while proving customized workflows when needed.

Provision and maintain the Microsoft SQL database and SharePoint on premise server equipment.

Understand, architect, and manage MS SQL Server HA/clustering and/or redundancy (SQL 2005 and higher).

Understand, architect, and manage SharePoint Availability, Storage, Backup and recovery solutions.

Understand and execute Change and Incident management.

Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience in may substitute for education on a year for year basis.

Microsoft SharePoint Certifications, preferred
 
 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:


Experience in purchasing and subcontract administration in services industry.



REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS:


Candidate should exhibit the passion and commitment to developing leading edge technology, working hard and having fun in a dynamic, ever-changing environment while maintaining cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility.


Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013/O365.


Experience in SharePoint Out of the box configurations.


Experience in SharePoint Designer Workflows.


Office 365 / SharePoint Online Development Experience.


Strong knowledge in SharePoint Architecture Design (Extranet & intranet).


Strong knowledge of SharePoint Search.

 

Experience of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and PowerShell.


Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.


Extensive experience in high level technical troubleshooting.


Ability to produce architecture diagrams and requisite documentation.


Strong teamwork and communication skills.


Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.


Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures.


Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.


Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.
