Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Sr. Nuclear Facility Trainer to join the nuclear team in Richland, WA.

JOB SUMMARY

Designs, develops and delivers training on a variety of subjects for Atkins organizations and customers as requested. Uses and remains current on instructional techniques and formats customized to meet employee, corporate and customer needs and regulatory requirements.

JOB DUTIES/TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs, develops and delivers training and qualification materials using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).

 

Creates training material in multiple delivery methods (e.g., classroom, Web-based and computer-based).

 

Assists in the identification of evaluation methods and tools for measuring results.

  

Reviews documentation such as procedures/regulatory changes, lessons learned, corrective actions, operating experience and training feedback to determine impacts to training program materials.

 

Monitors, evaluates and records training activities.

 

Works with applicable Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during the development of training materials to ensure technical accuracy.

 

Ensures training courses are instructionally sound and adhere to quality standards.

 

Maintains knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure competence commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

 

Use various feedback methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training (e.g., feedback questionnaires, field observations).

 

Performs periodic review of training program material to ensure technical accuracy.

 

Demonstrated ability to teach advanced courses on complex subject matter (e.g., courses on subjects requiring a week of classroom instruction).

 

Performs other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training.

REQUIRED AND DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Working knowledge of SAT process

 

Prior experience in hazardous materials transportation



Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products and their use (especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)
