Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Dallas Project Controls Group  as a Senior Project Controls Analyst. 


MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:

Provide project controls support to various projects on a regular and ad-hoc basis, including: cost management and forecasting, schedule development, risk management, change management, and revenue management.


Provide cost, schedule, and risk management support to bid/proposal teams through the development of cost and budget estimates, rate schedules, profitability analyses, proposal data, and other ad-hoc reporting as required.


Promote the development of project management expertise by communicating the lessons learned from previous project controls activities on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.


JOB DUTIES:

Work involves research, coordination and analysis of information gathered from various sources.


Support cost and schedule functions for proposals and active projects.


Work with project teams to establish a bid cost and budget.


Supports the preparation and issuance of periodic cost and labor reports.


Perform cost and schedule analysis, project profitability analysis, scenario analysis and ad hoc analysis as required.

 

 

 

 

 

 



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 7 years' relevant experience; 6 years' experience required with Master's degree; or 10 years' experience in project control or cost analysis with an Associates Degree.



SPECIAL SKILLS:


Proficient in MS Excel and use of various Excel data analysis functions (Charts, Pivot Table, Lookup etc.).


Comfortable working on multiple large or mid-size projects.


Good conceptual design skills and the ability to communicate ideas to management and


clients both orally and in writing.


High level of analytical ability and computer skills are required.


Looking for a creative, service-oriented, and driven applicant.



PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:


Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Cost


Technician (CCT) or other project control professional certification a plus.
