Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Sr. Project Control Specialist to join the nuclear team in Columbia, SC.
Job Description
Support the development of integrated cost / schedule baselines; including decommissioning baselines, integrated technical / cost tier 1/2 proposals, project baselines, REAs, etc.
Develop and manage P6 Schedules of various sizes from 1,000 to 10,000 activities and required logic.
Develop models and calculations of costs, parametrics, etc. within Excel.
Develop Excel macros and other small programs to automate repetitive steps.
Develop database structures to store data in an organized manner.
Support development of basis of estimate (BOE) documentation and other narratives.
Work with subject matter experts and develop estimates and schedules based on their input.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
An understanding of cost accounting, scheduling, and finance.
Proven skills with Excel including cell functions and VBA.
Good writing skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Travel for assignments in the US and abroad as required for extended periods from 2 to 6 weeks. Up to 50% Travel.
Extra points for skills in: C#; ASP.NET; SharePoint Online; SQL; Javascript; REST; CSS; XML; Web Services
BS in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or similar degree.
Education and Experience Requirements
Five to ten years experience working with cost estimates and schedules.
Experience in developing excel models that reflects project requirements.
Experience with Databases
Experience in with Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera, including experience writing VBA
Experience in with Adobe InCopy / InDesign is preferred
Experience programming in VBA, C#, Java, etc is preferred
