Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a Sr. Subcontracts Administrator in Tampa, FL.



Major Function/ Role

Manage the administration of one or more high value, complex, and/or critical subcontracts to ensure that
subcontractors fully meet Company and project requirements.

This includes RFP/RFQ solicitation reviews, price proposal preparation and review, subcontract negotiation, correspondence, documentation, certification, and deliverables for major contracts.

Assist program/project managers with interpretation of applicable terms and conditions.

Interface with client contracts officers/managers and/or procurement specialists on contract matters.


Job Duties

Perform work that involves applying acquired and diversified knowledge and experience in subcontracts
administration and the coordination of related activities for federal, state, local, and/or commercial contracts.



Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline, plus a minimum of four years relevant experience which must be related to procurement or general contracts administration for federal, state, local, and/or commercial contracts or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of twelve years of relevant experience.

Without a degree, ten (10) years of relevant experience required.

Must demonstrate familiarity and working knowledge of laws, statues, regulations, and requirements pertaining to procurement and subcontracts administration for one or more of the following contract types: federal, state, local, and/or commercial. Familiarity with FAR and American Association of State Highway Officials (AASHTO) requirements highly desirable.

Experience with multiple contract types and performance-based contracting is
required.

A board knowledge of subcontracting activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is
preferred.

Special Skills

Good analytical and organizational skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to understand contract plans and specifications, organize information, and effectively utilize PC and applicable software.

Professional Registrations

Contracting certifications from the NCMA or other professional contracting association desired.
