SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Orlando, FL Geomatics group as a Survey Technician.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under supervision, provides proficient technical support to engineers, planners, architects, surveyors or scientists working in transportation, development, environmental, land surveying or other technical services of the company

JOB DUTIES

Performs complex technical assignments applying knowledge of mathematics and principles of engineering, planning, surveying, science or architecture to support related company projects. Utilizes considerable analytical ability such as is required to interpret technical or scientific information and perform moderately complex math computations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus six years related experience OR an Associate’s Degree in a related technical field plus four years related experience is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Strong mathematical and analytical skills; good drafting ability where required; familiarity with technical discipline supported.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in Point Cloud Data extraction (TopoDOT/ Cyclone) or willing to learn in the first 3 months of hiring.
Civil 3D proficient (Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, DTM)
Microstaion/Open Roads,Geopak and FDOT experience is a great plus
