Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Winchester, VA Federal Civilian Group as a Systems Administrator/IT Manager.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Provides management and oversight of a significant company system(s) (e.g., Documentum document management). Ensures that system(s) runs efficiently with little to no interruption in service. Manages, coordinates, and implements technical solutions to meet client needs.
Ensure that IT global initiatives and standards are achieved.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems or related and 7 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years of network/system administration and supervisory duties and 3-5 years of PC support.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Job requires high proficiency in Microsoft products, Networking and Windows server and intermediate proficiency with Linux. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; troubleshooting and problem solving skills; and ability to master the application of new technology and research new products. Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively with managers and system users to assess needs and analyze problems. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Management of IT team for a medium sized enterprise.
8-10 years SeniorSystems Administration for a medium sized enterprise.
3 years with server virtualization.
5 years administration of Cisco VOIP phones and call center experience.
5 years IT helpdesk for a medium sized enterprise.
5 years Management of an IT support helpdesk for a medium sized enterprise.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

EMCPA or EMCSyA preferred. MSCE desired.
