What is NEOM THE LINE?

THE LINE: an exciting and visionary cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of north-western Saudi Arabia. The City will serve Neom Region: an area near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.

Mechanical Engineers on THE LINE will apply their mechanical engineering skills and knowledge to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for this 170km long, 500m wide mega infrastructure project. They work closely with specialists and project stakeholders in delivering complex building services designs. The Mechanical Engineers will ensure that designs meet all safety and performance requirements, as well as staying within budget and timeline constraints.

We are looking for Mechanical Engineering candidates with experience across a variety of seniority levels and specialisms to join our site team. Preferred candidates will have Tall Building project experience as well as prior experience working on project(s) based in the Middle East.

Mechanical Engineer

• Chartered Engineer status from a recognised professional body preferred
• Identify areas where contractor performance or expected outcome varies from desired, proposes actions and coordinate with all parties to ensure that the future outcome is in line with project deliverables
• Responsible for the preparation and review of mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications and tender documents for the design projects

Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Chartered Engineer status from a recognised professional body preferred
• Prior demonstrable experience leading a team and engaging with stakeholders
• Act as the single point of contact for technical issues between the Design Consultant and the wider NEOM functions, sectors and departments
• Comprehensive knowledge of Codes, Standards & Guidelines relating to Building Services systems (ie HVAC, water, drainage, etc)
