Technical Bid Manager

We are looking for a talented Technical Bid Manager to join our Win Work team in Dubai. The successful candidate will have a technical background, be enthusiastic and organised, and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. They will possess strong people skills and be able to work under time pressure and multiple deadlines. It is essential for this person to be both a hands on inputter and contributor.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reads and analyses RFPs and creates a one-page project brief for the bid team
  • Creates, owns and updates a scope matrix that identifies ownership and responsibilities for internal teams and sub-consultants
  • Co-ordinates sub-consultants input and works with technical teams to validate
  • Works with the Financial Bid Manager to review sub-consultants inputs and validate
  • Leads and facilitates the delivery strategy / technical workshops with technical teams
  • Executes technical writing and works with technical teams to review
  • Authors storyboards when required
  • Writes, critically reviews text, and edits to improve clarity and impact
  • Coordinates the organisation chart
  • Coordinates clarifications with the bid team and responses from the client, reviewing and disseminating client responses
  • Support Pre-qualifications where required
  • Supports with project profiles and CVs when required, working with the Bid Manager to review technical content
  • Input into the corporate governance process
  • Participates in the kick-off, storyboard and review workshops based on the Win Work process and works to the programme timelines
  • Provides a key communications interface between divisions, geographies, technical specialists and partners

We provide a full range of design, engineering and project management services for buildings, transportation and other infrastructure programmes.

 

Atkins in the Middle East now employs around 2,000 staff serving Gulf clients across all market sectors from offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, and Sharjah.



Essential Requirements

  • Education level Degree or equivalent, preferably in Architecture or technical discipline
  • Minimum required level of previous experience of 5 years’ experience, preferably within a bidding environment
  • Excellent writing skills
  • People leadership, facilitation, motivation and communication skills
  • Logical and structured approach, strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work to strict deadlines
  • Quickly able to grasp overall client hot buttons / requirements and apply technical skills to create a winning solution
  • Commercial acumen
  • Advanced skills in Word and Adobe Acrobat InDesign an advantage
  • Previous role with a global organisation in professional services would be an advantage
