We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Technical Leader to join our London team. The role will involve taking a lead in securing and delivering development planning projects with both private and public sector clients and supporting the rest of the team on a range of development planning projects. The ideal candidate needs to be a respected and commercially aware member of the development planning industry. We’re offering an opportunity to drive the strategy of a business and have a real involvement in its growth. This role will be based in London but working nationally.

Our office is located in the heart of London and a short walk from Euston station. The team has a strong current workload and solid presence within the marketplace. The London team forms part of the wider national Cities, Space & Development Planning Practice in our Transportation Division. The overall team has a wide-ranging capability: from site feasibility and masterplanning, through to planning and then detailed design. The multi-disciplinary nature of the business also means that we are able to deliver project teams from disciplines wider than transportation to offer clients a true ‘one stop shop’.

Our Development team in the UK is involved in a number of high profile projects with a variety of clients both in the UK and overseas, including The Crown Estate, HCA, BAA, St Modwen, Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council as well as Highways England. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local, national and international masterplanning, development planning and engineering projects.

 Wealdstone Town Centre Regeneration.


 Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Degree qualified in a relevant discipline and Chartered Membership of a relevant institution). A first degree in civil engineering, geography, mathematics, economics or urban planning is preferred.

Essential Criteria

 Previous experience in a transport planning consultancy, with a focus on Development Planning;
 Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships at the highest level;
 Demonstrable experience of delivering technically excellent projects;
 High level understanding of transport planning and policy and the context within which it is achieved; and
 Excellent project and people management skills with a hands-on attitude to technical project work.
 A network of existing private sector contacts within the industry and a proven ability to win business;

 Develop a solid revenue stream from blue chip developers in London and the South East;
 Act as technical lead and key point of contact for projects within the company as required.
 Responsible for delivering technical projects to our clients and developing relationships and winning new business where possible;
 Mange projects and ensure that major projects are completed to client specifications, to budgets and deadlines;
 Contribute to and deliver to the business growth in Transportation in association with other senior colleagues;
 Provide leadership and act as mentor to junior members of staff; and
 Remain Productive through securing and managing projects in development planning.
