Mission Statement:

The Technical reviewer cum Quality Assurance Specialist  OPC will overlook all project specific activities assigned to the OPC group and work in a team on a wide range of international T&D substation projects, classified as medium to high engineering complexity. The position requires to ensure compliance with project-specific technical requirements for all engineering disciplines and interfaces. He will assure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently managed and cost-effectively executed in accordance with tender/ contract specifications and all quality checkpoints being passed prior to the submission of documents. Highest quality standards are applied and safety requirements are taken into consideration.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensure activities related to all engineering disciplines within the area of responsibility are efficiently executed, in accordance with the contract specification, quality standards, and safety requirements, ready to be submitted to customers.
  • Train and coach local teams in the area of quality improvements to ensure expectation can be met
  • Ensure compliance with Linxon and Client engineering guidelines, standards and quality across the complete engineering process.
  • Ensure all mandatory design (quality) reviews have been scheduled and conducted in compliance with the project schedule. Keep records and ensure the design freeze as required.
  • Secure the completeness of the assigned packages and track progress to ensure o time delivery.
  • Confirm the engineering is developed, taken into consideration the complete information and all inter-discipline checks has been conducted prior to submission of documents to the HUB’s / HUB PROJECT offices. Results are documented in the project-specific storage area.
  • Spreading best practices among the engineers and project managers/project engineers. Documentation, work out and suggestion of subject-specific improvements.
  • Responsible for on Time, on Budget delivery of the design packages with a strong application of highest quality standards.
  • Provide input for closeout report and lessons learned and follow/review lessons learned for the next projects.
  • Report and keep records for all engineering changes.
  • Collaborate with the site team, attend site during the construction phase if necessary.
  • Contribute to the risk & opportunity register, by communicating observations.
  • Contribute to the Up-to-date design issue log Safety – Understand and follow LINXON OH&S procedures and guidelines.


Engineering Team / Line Manager:

  • Report observed quality improvement areas regularly and drive implementation in coordination with managers.
  • Cultivates a network of Engineering professionals both within and outside own business
  • Defines project specific quality targets and ensure allocation of these tasks to project team members within the OPC, specify relevant schedule for related tasks
  • Provide proactively support to the project team in order to ensure the quality targets are known and can be fulfilled.
  • Close liaison with Design resources to ensure engineering integrity and best engineering practice is achieved.
  • Establish Q-priorities and targets in cooperation with the functional team members across all functions
  • Conduct benchmarking and best practice spreading within the operations to embed a culture of excellence in  performance.
  • Maintain good relationships and a positive team spirit. Ensure non-discrimination within the team.

Project Management / Project execution:

  • Keep contact with the Hub/Project office Lead engineer and develop / agree on quality targets.
  • Review the progress / level of achievements for set / agreed targets
  • Be responsible for the implementation of identified improvements
  • Working with project managers, engineers, and operating staff to establish Q-standards, systems, and procedures
  • Create / review / comment non-conformance reports, with respect to the relevant Quality standards

Construction support:

  • Contribute to the clarification of potential issues to correct engineering errors in cooperation with the Hub/Project office Lead Engineer.


  • Do not compromise safety standards
  • Contribute actively to the safe by design process.

Supply Chain Management/Suppliers:

  • Ensure Quality demands are stipulated in the RFQ documents and technical specifications
  • Ensure completeness of delivery scope from suppliers by reviewing and commenting vendor documents
