Faithful+Gould are currently looking for an experienced Technical Writer/ Content Project Writer to form part of the project team based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The programme is motivated by the need to provide affordable housing for Saudis, but in so doing aspires to impact positively on the non-oil GDP while reducing the local unemployment rate. The primary drivers are to provide 340,000 affordable residential units to be constructed in five new townships across the Kingdom. The development of the townships will include all of the physical and social infrastructure required to create great community environments. A challenging 5 year timescale has been set for achieving the programme.
CDC Programme - Riyadh, KSA
Technical Writer
The Technical Writer will be a key member of Faithful+Gould’s technical, commercial and planning teams in the CDC project office and wider Riyadh business.
Reporting to the Programme Director you will be a strategic thinker, enjoy working as a team player, demonstrate accuracy, initiative and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to cope with pressure and prioritise your workload. Ideally, you will have a relevant qualification and experience of developing successful communications programmes in an international professional services environment, with knowledge or experience of the construction/engineering sector.
Requirements:
- Content Writing (knowledge of the domain and be precise and unambiguous content & written English)
- Research, collect data, and interact with appropriate stakeholders to compose content which meets project standards and procedures.
- Write clear, precise and unambiguous content in grammatically correct English and in an engaging and coherent style.
- Lay your footprints on a world class product by writing simplified content for the product that engages users and enhances their experience.
- Refer diagrams, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to understand and simplify the product use cases in a manner that would be easy for customers to understand and relate.
- Capture screens, product tours, flow diagrams, charts etc to support and illustrate the content and make it easy for customers to understand.
- Write, maintain and manage blogs, whitepapers, user manuals.
- Work with cross functional teams, assess business and technical requirements and provide appropriate documentations.
- Create, edit, and maintain technical and allied publications that accurately and effectively support the product release requirements in various output formats (pdf, online help, mail, forum post etc).
- Successfully work with and communicate with product, development, delivery, support, sales and marketing teams.
Technical Writing/ Technical Authoring
- Should have worked in Civil large construction domains.
- Knowledge in Technical Publication projects - Technical Authoring, preparation of technical project manuals like maintenance/ project budget manuals etc.
- Create desktop procedures consistent with and resulting from regulatory, compliance, and legal changes
- Ensure all documentation is prepared using SNC templates & branding
- Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and visuals.
- Work with technical staff to streamline project communication (tone, style, etc.)
- Prepare sales & marketing collaterals.

Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Literature / Journalism / Mass-communications / Science / Technology
- 5 - 10 years proven work experience as a Technical Writer, Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
- Diploma/Certificate in Technical/Content Writing
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills in English
