Bring your skills and expertise to our Transportation team as a Track Design Technician. As part of a diverse, friendly environment, you'll develop your capabilities in exciting new areas such as automation and intelligent design. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams here and abroad, reimagining rail and making a sustainable impact on our world. From vision to reality, you'll lead and shape the projects you work on, surrounded by colleagues who want to see you succeed.
The position offers flexible hybrid working. Office days are agreed on a job-by-job basis, and the candidate can be based out of any office locations like Crewe, Manchester, or Birmingham.
Your purpose:
- Design Track Alignments.
- Produce CAD details and drawing's, integrating into BIM.
- Undertake site work including inspections.
- Prepare technical reports and documents - with calculations.
- Collaborate on some of the largest rail schemes of our generation.
- Assess interfaces between Train's and Infrastructure.
What you can bring:
- An interest in Rail Engineering.
- Minimum 2 A-Levels - Ideally Maths & Physics.
- Qualification in an Engineering related subject(s) - Preferably Civil Engineering.
- Willingness for career progression through further learning - Academic and CPD.
- Knowledge of CAD software, preferably MicroStation.
- Appreciation of site activities.
