Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Training & Communications Specialist to join the nuclear team in Richland, WA.

JOB DUTIES/TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as Learning and Development point of contact for employees and managers for Atkins Nuclear Secured.

Works with various departments to evaluate, create and/or modify training material content and delivery to ensure products meet Atkins Nuclear Secured standards.

Serves as quality control for the learning management system, including roster completions, inquiries and reports.

Tracks, trends, and makes notifications for required training courses and qualifications to ensure compliance.

Administers position training and qualification requirements using the learning management system and established processes in accordance with procedures.

Works closely with managers making recommendations regarding necessary training activities for their employees.

Coordinates and assists in the development of training schedules.

Develops training activity status and progress reports for review and action by management.

There is no supervision of other workers at this level.

Requires guidance from Manager.

Responsible for the quality of his/her own work and satisfying customer (internal and external) specifications.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Coordinates, develops, and distributes internal communications to inform, connect and engage employees.

Assists in the development of communication plans to support key initiatives.

Prepares presentations, reports, graphics, correspondence, brochures and other marketing materials as needed.

Performs writing and editing tasks.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, English, Marketing or other related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in communications, journalism or related field.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products and their use (especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)
