What you’ll be doing
You’ll join us as a Quantity Surveyor providing cost and commercial support to our project teams.  Our Quantity Surveyors work on a wide variety of transportation schemes, `including rail and signalling upgrades, new road bridges and tunnels, station upgrades, new motorway developments and improvements, intelligent mobility projects, the list is endless!  You will learn to support design teams, ensuring projects are designed within our budget and managing change and you will work with contractors, on site, managing construction costs for our design and build contracts.  You will learn to be confident, a good communicator, problem solving and will develop your mathematical ability.  You will be given the opportunity to grow, with a wide variety of projects to work on with an experienced, high performing team, to learn from.

Atkins Transportation have teams based across the UK:


South East –  London
South West – Bristol


Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a talented graduate with a bachelor’s (2.1 or above) or masters (2.2 or above) across a wide variety of degree disciplines. We are particularly interested if you have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Legal, Project Management and Commercial Management

We also require:
• Strong communicator with the ability to present
• A driven, goal-oriented individual
• Ability to manage priorities in a high-pressure environment
• Confidence working on your own initiative and as part of multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to analyse problems and provide create innovative solutions
• A flexible approach to travel as our projects may take you to a variety of locations in the UK and possibly abroad
• A curious interest and keen to develop knowledge and experience in transport technologies
• Understanding of the link between winning work, delivering projects, and generating revenue / profit
