Summary of the Role

The Treasury Analyst role covers a wide range of different aspects within the treasury function.  The Treasury Analyst will carry out back office duties for fx, lead on interfacing with the business in respect of cash forecasting, assist with intercompany loan documentation, bank account management, weekly cash reporting and quarterly reconciliations.

Main responsibilities

The following will make up the main responsibilities of this role but there may be other items that are required from time to time.

Long term cash forecasting (4-month forecasts)

  • Coordination of all Atkins entities submitting forecasts on HFM
  • Resolving issues from the business about submitting forecasts
  • Reviewing significant forecasts for variance analysis
  • Submitting treasury forecast for the UK
  • Running and issuing reports to the business showing accuracy of forecasting
  • Working with Atkins finance to reconcile operating cash flow forecasts on a monthly basis.

Back Office Function

  • Supervision of the Back Office function carried out by the Shared Service Facility for FX deals
  • Confirming FX trades, and sending settlement instructions to counterparty banks
  • Deal with accounting queries raised by the Shared Service Facility in relation to coding of fx payments and receipts in the UK.

Intercompany Loans

  • Assisting the Treasury Associate with keeping intercompany loan documentation up to date and arranging for the signing of such documentation
  • Back-up support for entering new loans and amendments into the Treasury system.

Other

  • Weekly cash report of manual balances to Montreal (those accounts that don’t feed automatically via MT940)
  • Quarterly reconciliation of cash book balances to bank balances from MT940 submissions.
  • Assistance with bank account management
  • Assistance with the interactions with auditors in relation to cash balances.

Core hours

Full time role.  There may be a requirement to assist with back office duties between Christmas and New Year.

Reporting line and Direct Reports

This role will report to the Treasury Director and have no direct reports.

Qualifications/Skills

Essential

Either accounting or treasury part qualified, or around couple of years relevant treasury experience.

Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Excellent Excel skills

Ability to pick up new ideas quickly and new systems and processes

Ability to absorb and interpret large volumes of data

Ability to multi task and prioritise

Desirable

Experience of cash forecasting
