We are looking to recruit talented
Immersive Media Developer in our new Leeds office to support a growing team of developers, artists and producers in our Creative Design business. We are seeking capable generalists who feel confident in delivering projects from inception through to delivery so a mixed skillset is essential.
The successful candidates will be working to create and develop a variety of interactive experiences, including VR and AR in Unity, to bring greater value to our engineering, infrastructure and architectural design projects. You’ll have excellent domain knowledge of 3D real-time development and passionate about developing opportunities for its use across the engineering sector.
You will be part of the Creative Design practice, who are based in key locations throughout the UK, consisting of 50+ talented designers, developers and visualisers who provide a professional visual communication service to its UK and worldwide markets. We deliver world class interactive solutions to a wide range of Atkins clients including EDF, Highways England, Environment Agency and HS2.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate effectively with a high energy team of developers and producers.
• Deliver excellent interactive Unity projects.
• Help develop future work pipeline through client engagement.
• Use in house tools and plugins to setup and deliver projects.
• Providing accurate predicted timings for tasks and oversee their delivery.
• Help oversee the daily production of products from multiple disciplines.
• Ensure quality is maintained across projects.
Required skills
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of the Unity engine and C#
• Understanding of 3D modelling and texturing
• Experience in using Real time engines to add value in engineering projects
• Highly competent in delivery high quality and robust interactive experiences
• Good time management and project planning skills.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with VR/ AR platforms and hardware
• Experience using GIT source control
• Experience developing for mobile platforms
• Knowledge of point cloud formats and processing methodologies
• Current building design domain knowledge including BIM and CAD principles
