Atkins is currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our Nevada Energy Team as a USQ Analyst.

Job Description:


The USQ Analyst will provide senior engineering support in the preparation, update, review, and disposition of USQDs and screenings as part of the overall Department of Energy (DOE) site USQD program.


They will prepare or review USQD evaluations for all 5 nuclear facilities at the NNSS [Device Assembly Facility (DAF), Joint Actinide Shock Physics Experimental Research Facility (JASPER), Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC), Underground Subcritical Facility (U1a) , and Onsite Transportation (OST)]. 

 
This position demands a high level of accountability and technical knowledge and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.


Reviewing proposed procedures, work packages, and other planning documents for potential nuclear safety concerns.


Participate in meetings, table top discussions, and design reviews of planned activities.


Performing system walk downs to gather information related to planned activities.



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

The candidate must be capable of managing change and have very high technical and ethical standards.


Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. 

 
Knowledge and experience in nuclear safety/radiation safety/industrial safety fields.


Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013 applications and requires little supervision in report preparation.

 

 

 


Education/Experience:



Bachelor’s Degree, minimum 10 years’ experience

 



Certification:



Active Q clearance
