The Atkins Resourcing Centre of Expertise has vacancy for an HR Associate to support Middle East & Africa Region. This role will provide an opportunity to work with a range of Atkins’ businesses and will be focused on supporting either New Hires, Life Cycle Management, Leavers or Reporting & Analytics Team.

Working within this function, your primary roles & responsibilities will be:

  • Providing resolution to employee and manager inquires as well as transactional and operational support to Senior Human Resources Managers (SHRM’s) and HR Knowledge Centers for specialized services
  • Additional areas of functional expertise may include Employee Separation (Voluntary or Redundancy), Employment Letters, Salary Increase Letters, HR Program Support (Employee Data Management) & Scheduled & Ad-Hoc Reports
  • Performs established HR processes with accuracy and ensures completion in an efficient & timely manner
  • May have to work extra hours when volume goes up or if need arises in the team

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To work cross functionally with extended teams Tier 2 (Middle East & Africa) to resolve inquiries
  • Develops resolutions to complex glitches that require frequent use of creativity
  • Uses judgement within broadly defined policies and practices. Anticipates change and directs or redirects efforts
  • Strong knowledge of performing various reports through excel & coming up with analysis
  • Should be able to build and run a variety of scheduled and Ad-Hoc reports
  • Ensures compliance with requirements established by company procedures, local government regulations, and audit requirements
  • Offers mentoring and guidance to other team members as & when required 
  • Develops projects / processes that are of a large, cross-functional scope and align with Shared Services Management strategy
  • Drives strategic direction of HR Shared Services to scale and to align with corporate goals
  • Produces new process improvement techniques and services across HRSS
  • Identifies future improvement opportunities based on process management indicators and metrics
  • Drives business awareness of quality/process methodology. May complete quality assurance checks for designated functional expertise
  • Participates in enterprise wide redesign initiatives that will encompass end to end analysis and future state redesign that requires deep process knowledge of HR processes and procedures
  • Provides insight to Centre of Excellence Teams / Senior Human Resources Managers on how to leverage technology for self-services as well as insight to additional/value-add services provided by HRSS
  • Drives process improvement initiatives for functional area of expertise
  • Work is accomplished with little or no supervision
  • Highly knowledgeable of numerous tasks/procedures
  • Builds knowledge base repository for variety of functional questions/inquiries, captures known answers and trains other team members
  • Escalation point of contact for complex inquiries & provides resolution for a wide variety of issues for a variety of HRSS situations.


  • Must possess good working knowledge on Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) & Workday HRMS.
  • Must possess good working knowledge on Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) & Workday HRMS
  • Experience in writing VBA program for Macro
  • Ability to Analyze Information & Draw Accurate Conclusions
  • Ability to Work Effectively with the Reporting Manager & Senior Management

Experience Required: 5+ years relevant experience, or equivalent
