Water Lead/Project Manager, KSA

The pipeline and opportunities for strategic and major projects in KSA for Atkins Transport & Infrastructure (T&I) Division are significant. An opportunity exists for a driven, ambitious and self-motivated person to take a critical role in growing Atkins T&I Water Business across KSA. The successful candidate will work closely with KSA Clients of T&I in wining and delivering work in KSA for the Water sector. The work will include client engagement, bid management and managing the delivery of Projects to our Clients.
 
We are currently looking for a Water Lead with a minimum of 10/12 years’ experience in the water engineering sector with preference for candidates with experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC Countries.
 
The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia but will also requires working and travel throughout KSA including Western Region and Eastern Regions of KSA as and when required, sometimes at short notice. Potential candidates must therefore be in a position to travel and work occasionally across KSA.
 
You will be required to provide the senior interface between project ownership and delivery. You will be required to act as the single focal point of contact with the Client, possibly across multiple project packages, to ensure that the desired project objectives are delivered. You must have adequate knowledge and information about the business and the project in order to make informed value-add decisions for both the Client and the Company.
 
Target the Saudi Water Market to build sustainable strategic relationships to yield significant benefits to both the clients and Atkins, by anticipating their future requirements and developing compelling value propositions through internal capability and external professional collaboration.  Leading proposals and projects on behalf of Atkins.

Minimum Requirements:

   
Drawing on your existing major projects experience, you will be responsible for monitoring the project direction and coordinating throughout the project life-cycle to project completion.
 
The Water Lead will be a qualified professional capable of providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multidisciplinary projects.
 
The Water Manager must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, have Chartered status and more than 10/12 years experience with preferably more than 5 years working in the Middle East region.
Experience working in the KSA is preferable. 
 
The Water Lead will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company reputation with our clients and developing effective long term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group.
 
 
The minimum requirements are:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
  • Experience in leading on feasibility studies and/or design & build water/wastewater or desalination projects (with preferably some experience in KSA)
  • Proven success in the delivery of large capital projects within scope, time and budget
  • Ability to influence for results
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Effective IT and communication skills in report writing, presentations and holding effective conversations
  • Proven ability to lead, organize and direct large multi-national organization.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of building effective networks both internally and external to the organisation.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of developing strategic relationships with clients and finding ways to add significant value to the client’s agenda.
  • Entrepreneurial in deeply understanding client needs and identifying high margin service offerings to cater for their particular issues and needs.
  • Track record of leading and implementing change.
  • Able to build and develop new relationships with clients and partners and establish professional collaborations.
  • A pro-active decision maker with a confident yet diplomatic operating style - someone who deals easily with cultural diversity.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully operating within a target driven environment. Someone who consistently achieves and often over-delivers their targets.#MCN1
