15th October 2014 - Why I like my career in rail
Step 1 - Search for a vacancy
- We advertise our roles by business areas, therefore please use our degree checker tool to find your fit.
- We recommend that initially, you do not search using the job search toolbar on the page and instead complete a wider search for all opportunities through the degree checker tool.
- Please ensure you read the associated job descriptions for each business area you are interested in as each business area may have opportunities for graduates across a range of disciplines and locations.
- Complete the application form
Step 2 - Complete an online application form
Before you start the online application process you’ll need to ensure you meet our basic criteria, information is included in each job description. You’re then asked to create a log in and password so you can save your application and complete it at a later date if necessary.
While closing dates are included on the job descriptions we recommend you submit your application as soon as possible as we actively screen and assess candidates as they apply. You can submit your completed application once all sections of the form are complete. You must also upload your CV. Please ensure all relevant details (including university modules) are included. We recommend that you review your application before submitting it as changes are not allowed at a later stage.
Candidates may only complete one application form per recruitment cycle. Any subsequent application forms will be automatically identified by our recruitment system and dismissed
Step 3 - Online tests
After submitting your application form, you will be asked to complete a numerical and verbal online test. They will take around 45 minutes and can be done at a time that suits you within seven days of the hour in which you are sent the link. After this time your application will be automatically withdrawn. You will receive the test link within 24 hours of submitting your application. Please keep an eye on your relevant email account once you’ve submitted your application to ensure you don’t miss out.
You will have the option of completing practice questions for each test and we strongly urge you to do so. They will help you prepare for the real test.
Make sure you select a time and a place where there are no distractions. You are unlikely to be able to retake the test if you are interrupted.
