Job Overview

Linxon is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The Buyer will play a critical role in supporting the execution of BESS, EPC, and substation projects by managing supplier relationships, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. This position will collaborate closely with the sales and engineering teams to meet project requirements and deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier search and identification to source materials and services required for projects.

  • Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages and collect quotes from suppliers within project timelines.

  • Review and evaluate quotes for basic compliance and alignment with business requirements.

  • Create purchasing requisitions and ensure accuracy in procurement documentation.

  • Maintain all documents to monitor suppliers' performance and conformance to commercial terms.

  • Communicate with clients to secure approvals for purchases in accordance with established procedures.

  • Interact with sales, project management, engineering, and construction staff to monitor progress, review amendments, and ensure understanding between clients and suppliers on contractual matters.

  • Ensure timely delivery to site, supervise warranties, and settle claims for projects.

  • Assist suppliers in collecting proof of delivery to facilitate invoice submission.

  • Support suppliers with the invoicing process to ensure the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process is followed.

  • The buyer should possess the ability to work independently and take full responsibility and accountability for all procurement activities related to the assigned tender or project within the EPC organization. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the procurement of engineering services, equipment, and subcontracted site services such as civil works, installation, testing, and commissioning. The buyer is expected to manage these processes end-to-end, ensuring that all procurement aligns with project specifications, timelines, and budget requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Engineering or other technical background is advantage;

  • Preferably 5 years of experience in similar position;

  • Excellent proficiency in both written and verbal English communication

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel is highly desired.

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is a plus.

  • Strong communication and organizational abilities are necessary.

  • Displaying a proactive attitude, adaptability, openness to learning, and a collaborative mindset are valued attributes.
