We are seeking an Environmental Planner/Scientist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This position will provide support and environmental planning for a large infrastructure project. The position will be dedicated to supporting the day-to-day activities of a large transportation project environmental impact statement (EIS). This role will be integrated into all aspects of the project ranging from evaluation of human and natural environmental impacts to client communication and public involvement.

How will you contribute to the team?
Support all steps of the NEPA EIS documentation process, from Notice of Intent to Record of Decision
Support evaluation of impacts from an infrastructure project on the natural and human environment; must have experience in at least one area (NEPA, traffic operations, traffic noise, cultural resources, water resources, and/or ecology/wetlands permitting);
Coordinate with subject matter experts and overall project team for accurate depiction of the natural and human environment for NEPA documentation;
Attend and support meetings with regulatory agencies, stakeholders and the public;
Maintain and organize the project record; and
Assist with writing various documentation.
What will you contribute?
B.A./B.S. or M.S. in a field of Planning, Sciences, or other relevant degree.
At least five years' related experience since Bachelor's degree or three years' experience with Master's degree.
Aptitude for maintaining a professional attitude and attention to detail while working alone and within a team environment;
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues;
Strong organizational, task and time management, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills; and
Proficiency with the MS Office suite of software
Proficiency with ArcGIS (preferred not required).
