Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN.

JOB DUTIES/TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to use standard tools of the trade for HVAC mechanics including pressure gauges, evacuation pumps.

Ability to operate and maintain a chiller water system and other industrial HVAC equipment as needed.

Installs/removes HVAC equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other documents.

Ability to align motors, sheaves, and belts on HVAC equipment.

Use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of industrial HVAC work, of which 1 year is on a nuclear project

Must be eligible to obtain a Federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter


REQUIRED AND DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Able to read and understand piping and HVAC drawings

Strong at Problem Solving and Troubleshooting

Holds an EPA section 608 certification and Universal HVAC

Capability to perform self-directed skill of the craft work
