Building Services Lead

The Role
A key role in one of the largest European infrastructure projects currently in development. Based in a convenient modern office environment, the successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary design team and liaise closely with client representatives. You will contribute to the successful delivery of a uniquely important piece of national infrastructure.

In Bristol, you will lead our core team of senior MEP engineers and guide them to deliver various aspects of the design for projects such as Wylfa Newydd on the Isle of Anglesey for Horizon Nuclear Power.
In parallel to directing the delivery of our current commissions, you will work closely with our Energy Market teams to track forthcoming opportunities and support our pursuit of these work packages.

Building a close working relationship with the client and seeking to add value where appropriate will be an expectation.

Requirements
• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, building services or equivalent experience.
• Chartered member of CIBSE, IMechE or IET.
• Role based in Atkins Bristol office, Aztec West.
• Ability to gain UK security clearance beneficial.

Experience
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
• Broad experience working across multiple market sectors.
• Preferably some experience of industrial, nuclear or rail sectors.
• Experience of progressing designs through to completion of installation stages.
• Working knowledge of common forms of contract.
• Experience of running a project team or design office.

This is a permanent staff position. Associate role.
