We are currently recruiting for apprentice in Project Management and Business Consultancy for our Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology business.

The opportunity will be based out of our London Office (Victoria) or our Bristol office (The Hub)

What you’ll be doing:

At SNC-Lavalin Atkins we offer a world of opportunities, from the projects you’ll work on, to the wide variety of career paths you can pursue. Throughout your time as an apprentice Consultant you will undertake a variety of roles giving you a breadth of knowledge and core consulting skills.

You’ll be joining our Apprentice Consultant Development Programme (ACDP) where you will study for an industry recognised qualification in Project Management, including Agile, alongside gaining on the job experience in project roles across our range of clients. Studying project management and business consulting modules at a local college will enable you to earn money and learn at the same time whilst giving you a solid foundation of knowledge for your future career at Atkins as a consultant.

Our tailored apprentice programme will offer the support you need to thrive whilst allowing you freedom to choose your own career. Whether you are about to be a school leaver, or you have already started your career elsewhere, we will empower, trust and stretch you from day one to build your own relationships with key clients, solve complex issues affecting the way organisations work and take on responsibility to demonstrate your unique capabilities.

Apprentice Consultants will work with a variety of teams and clients and can expect to develop knowledge in:

• Project Management
• Consulting Skills
• Project Delivery
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
• Business Analysis
• Planning
• Change Management
• Risk Management
• Budgeting and cost control
• Supporting bids

Who we’re looking for

Enthusiastic, inclusive and committed, you should be curious about the world around you and always want to learn more. To really succeed in the role, you will need to demonstrate that you have:

• 5 GCSEs including a C/5 in Mathematics and a C/5 in English Language
• The ability to work in a team, assisting with the planning, design and smooth running of a variety of projects
• 112 UCAS points (not including General Studies) OR equivalent i.e. BTEC Level 3.
• You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
• The ability to work in a team, assisting with the planning, design and smooth running of a variety of projects
• Creativity and strong communication skills
• A practical mind
• Self-motivated and reliable - you’ll be expected to work across different locations on a variety of projects

Initial closing date: Tuesday 29th January NB: Some of our programmes are incredibly popular so to avoid disappointment (where some roles may close earlier) please make your application as soon as possible. Assessment centre dates: Dependent on location, assessment centres will be held from December 2018 onwards.
