Principal RAM Engineer - Glasgow

The Role

Our Energy business has been operating for over four decades and the pace of change has never been greater than it is now. These are critical times in how the world generates and uses Energy. Our RAM Engineering expertise is key to the multi-disciplinary design, assurance, and O&M services that we provide to our clients in the Conventional Generation, Oil & Gas, Energy from Waste, Energy Storage and Petrochemical Markets.

Working within our Safety and Reliability Team in our Glasgow office, you will play a leading role in growing our client base, expanding and improving our services and delivering engineering solutions to the Energy Sector. By joining the vibrant Energy Business, you will have the opportunity to work across the whole market from Energy Storage to Oil & Gas.

Working closely with our clients, you’ll be consulting with them to develop a full understanding of their design/O&M requirements, ultimately to deliver cost effective, optimal, and innovative solutions.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have strong and demonstrable technical experience of Reliability Engineering processes/practices. Candidates should have the following key skills.

• Leading delivery of work packages utilising traditional RAM techniques (RAM Modelling, FMECA, FTA, RCM)
• Leading RAM programs involving, where necessary, multidisciplinary support
• R&M strategy development
• Computerised maintenance management system application/interrogation
• Digital Asset Management; in particular, application of data analyses techniques to achieving optimum solutions and improving business efficiencies
• Demonstrable record of driving business efficiencies and improvements through R&M technology advancement.

Candidates should also have a “work winning” mentality and be able to demonstrate a track record of business development through successful client management and innovation.

In addition to the above you will have:

• Degree in relevant numerate discipline eg Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics;
• Gained significant experience within an energy industry environment;
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation/communication skills;
Strong Quality, Safety, Environment (QSE) focus.
