RAM Engineer - Glasgow

We are seeking a RAM Engineer who has technical expertise in Digital Asset Management and technical experience of developing and implementing Reliability Engineering processes. You will be a great communicator with the drive and passion to put the client first.

The role

As a part of a leading consultancy, you will successfully deliver projects with influence in the Energy sector, driving business change for many key clients, primarily large Oil & Gas operators, supplemented by Nuclear, Renewables and Power sectors.

You will join our team of engineering professionals providing technical expertise in Digital Asset Management including project work that applies ‘cloud-based’ computing and ‘big data’ analytics technologies and you will have brought tangible benefits to the client. You will also help deliver technical solutions in projects that apply engineering innovation, realising significant savings for the client, for example, via Inventory & Maintenance Optimisation.

The person

In addition to having excellent communication and problem-solving skills you will be able to demonstrate the following:

Degree qualified in a numerate subject (such as Maths, Engineering
Computer Science or Physics) as a minimum.
Chartered in a relevant discipline.
Evidence of leading technical delivery of work packages in an asset management programme of work involving:
Reliability/Availability/Maintainability simulation modelling
Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis
Fault Tree Analysis
Reliability Centred Maintenance
Computerised Maintenance Management System application/interrogation
Risk Based Inspection
Safety Integrity Level Verification
Further evidence of capability should relate to experience of:
Technical scoping and costing of bids
Technical authorship and technical reviewer
Expert in reliability modelling and software, the latter preferably with focus on data analysis, statistics and optimisation Capability to work independently, for example, at client-site, as well as office-based work

You will also be able to evidence wider business acumen including:

 
• Driver of clients’ business change in a client-facing role
• Driver of internal business change in a director-interfacing capacity
• Record of managing client-facing consultancy projects with significant revenue that return healthy margins

 

Additional Information

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
