Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Portland, Oregon Office as a Full Stack Software Developer.
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE
Under supervision, performs basic software programming and/or customization in support of projects that meet clients' software development needs. At this level, applies standard programming practices and techniques while developing professional proficiency
JOB DUTIES
- Generally applies standard techniques and established procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of diversified software development tasks, requiring analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and one year of experience, or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience to provide requisite knowledge of application development, programming language, program design, block diagram/flow chart, database administration, and HTML web development.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Extensive experience of JavaScript, C# and SQL.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of HTML, SCSS and CSS.
- Working knowledge and experience utilizing the MEAN Stack (Mongo Express Angular Node).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of open source licenses/licensing.
- Experience in utilizing Agile Methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
Working knowledge and experience with at least 2 or more open source tools listed below:
- GitHub
- GitLab
- Travis CI
- Jenkins
- Team City
- Ability to develop a new software product/solution starting from scratch, while working closely with client/company
- stakeholders.
- Knowledge and work experience in expanding/changing existing software solutions.
- Identify, research, and present new ideas to old solutions as different technology arises
- Knowledge and working understanding with UX Design and UX best practices.
- In-Depth knowledge of Full Stack development and software life cycles
- Working knowledge of Authentication/Security best practices.
- Understanding of micro-services and micro-services architecture
Experience working with 1 or more cloud technologies listed below:
- Amazon - AWS
- Google - Cloud
- Microsoft - Azure
- Cloud Foundry
