Tax Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our team. The role will be based at our Warrington office, reporting to the Head of Group Compliance and Reporting.

Overview of Key Responsibilities

Working collaboratively as part of a tax compliance and reporting team based in Warrington that operates as part of a wider team based in Montreal, you will fulfil a key lead role in management and delivery of:
• Atkins Sector tax forecasting and tax rate management.
• IFRS tax accounting disclosures for Sector and UK subsidiary statutory accounts including full and half year reporting disclosures
• Research and development tax credit claims, providing education and training as required to the business.
• Compliance with transfer pricing requirements with particular focus on ensuring timely compliance with changes coming into force following BEPS
• Monitoring of aspects of Global tax compliance
• All aspects of UK corporate tax compliance, including CFC reviews.

Skills & attributes required

• Qualified ACA/ACCA and/or CTA/AAT (PQE essential)
• Specific knowledge and experience in IFRS Group reporting & tax accounting (essential)
• Experience/knowledge in transfer pricing (essential)
• Experience of Research and Development tax credits would be beneficial
• Knowledge of CFC would be beneficial
• Financially literate strategic thinker, with ability to assess complex matters and provide timely, relevant, succinct advice
• Confident, articulate and persuasive communicator, able to communicate to a broad range of stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong research and documentation skills
• IT experienced –Advance excel & OneSource experience would be beneficial.
• Motivated and resourceful with ability to operate and deliver at high level under pressure
• Professional and team-orientated
