Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team in Lake City, Florida as a Title Examiner.
 
Major Function / Role:
  • Examine and verify title documents.
  • Search real estate records and tax rolls.
  • Summarize legal documents.
  • Compile lists of mortgages, contracts, and other instruments pertaining to titles by searching public records.
  • Search, analyze, and evaluate records relating to titles of homes, land, and buildings.
  • Ensure that the title to a property in question has no restrictions that may prevent or hinder its sale or use.
  • Search public records.
  • Examine deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, and plats/maps to determine ownership, encumbrances, and to verify legal descriptions of property.
  • Prepare property reports and title commitments.
  • Analyze chain of title and preparation of reports outlining title-related matters.
  • Examine title reports from outside abstractors.
  • Review probate cases; obtain those records as needed and civil action cases
 
 
 


Education And Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline with four years of business experience. 
  • Without a degree, this is typically reached through a minimum of ten years’ experience in relevant analytical and/or project administrative work.
