Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Orlando, FL Software Development Group as a Web Designer.
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:
Applies professional proficiency in the development of custom software applications and the coordination of related activities in support of projects that meet clients' software development needs. At this level, works under supervision on assignments that have clear and specified objectives.
JOB DUTIES:
Performs work which involves conventional programming and customization, for which there are precedents, to carry out diversified software development projects or phases of a single project with relatively few complex features. Work requires the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in related area and three years experience, including hands-on experience to provide working knowledge of state-of-the-art design and presentation software. Expert level knowledge of Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, Flash and PowerPoint.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must demonstrate programming skills and experience with current object-oriented programming techniques, and work experience with at least two of the following programming languages: C#, Java, Objective-C, C++, HTML, JavaScript and/or similar, with ability and willingness to learn others as needed. Database experience required in at least one of the following: Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or similar. Should have good interpersonal, technical writing and communications skills.
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
An industry recognized certification, i.e., Microsoft Certified Solution Developer preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
User Interface, SharePoint Development, Work Flow Process Development Required.
