Job Summary
Responsible for the site supervision of Contractor’s architectural works. Duties include inspection of the Contractors works, Review and commenting on submittals, forwarding submittals to the concerned designer for response, obtaining samples and quotations when required, preparing reports and recommendations and coordination of all architectural works with other disciplines.

Requirements
Technical Competencies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- Prior UAE experience is mandatory as part of Site and PMC team.
- Minimum 10-15 years experience in material submission review, shop drawing review, site attendance and review drawings and specifications coordinated with engineering and other disciplines. Site execution of Interior design works
- AutoCAD competent and able to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision, within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Awareness of regulations and handover procedures
- Experience in a variety of buildings and sectors such as multi residential, leisure, hotels, retail, offices, mixed-use developments.
- Able to interpret project specifications client requirements and constructability requirements.
- Able to prepare project specific quality plans and record and implement essential coordination issues in accordance with Atkins quality procedures

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the site supervision of Contractor’s architectural and interior design works. Duties include inspection of the Contractors works
- Review and commenting on submittals, forwarding submittals to the concerned designer for response, obtaining samples and quotations when required, preparing reports and recommendations and coordination of all architectural / ID works with other disciplines
- Reviewing and authorising his inspectors daily reports, preparing his portion of weekly report and giving relevant input to the monthly report of his section of the project.
- Review comments on Material submittals concerning constructability as support to the AOR and witness the field test.
- To review shop drawings
- To report Quality Non-Conformances and to assist in closing out of the same.
- To report safety violations to HSE Manager during his inspections on site.
- To work with project site team.
- Coordinate and manage the technical input of other disciplines during construction stage
- Ensure the satisfactory management and control of inward and outward documentation
- Be able to develop and build client relationships.
- Required to supervise the work of other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Manage the architectural design process from conceptualization to execution, ensuring alignment with client objectives, design standards, and project specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and functional design solutions that meet project requirements and exceed client expectations.
- Material Submittal Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of materials submitted by contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors, evaluating compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and performance criteria. Provide recommendations and approvals for material selections based on technical suitability and aesthetic considerations.
- Shop Drawing Review: Review and analyze shop drawings, detailed construction drawings, and architectural specifications to verify accuracy, completeness, and conformance to design intent and contractual requirements. Coordinate with project stakeholders to address discrepancies and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, zoning ordinances, and permitting processes relevant to architectural design and construction. Ensure all architectural elements comply with regulatory requirements and obtain necessary approvals from regulatory authorities.
- Handover Procedures: Develop and implement effective handover procedures to facilitate the seamless transition from construction to occupancy. Collaborate with project teams to compile as-built documentation, operation manuals, and warranties for client handover, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Site Attendance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, evaluate quality of workmanship, and address architectural-related issues in a proactive manner. Provide on-site guidance to contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure adherence to architectural drawings and specifications.
