Program Lead - PPM

We are seeking to appoint a talented and passionate Capability Program Lead to join our PPM Global Capability team. The PPM group consists of 6 global practices:

• Building Surveying
• Construction Management
• Cost & Commercial
• Program Management
• Project Controls
• Project Management

This person will play a key role in supporting the Global Capability Lead with future capability development and aligning capability across current business demands whilst driving performance excellence, best practice, and digital adoption. This will be measured through margin enhancement and efficiency metrics. The primary responsibility for this role will be working with the practices and AtkinsRéalis leadership to map and plan capability demand, maximize revenue and margin, collaborate across geographies, and to scale and maximize opportunities or new and existing capabilities at a global level. The person will support the GCL and their mandate to develop and lead on impact levers and works across COO and regional stakeholders to deliver insights and recommendations on driving capability performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Role Summary

Capability development partner working with the regions to drive capability alignment, performance, and collaboration to enable the delivery of higher value services and delivery excellence to build a capability that is aligned to future requirements.

Capability development and delivery

• Support GCL in outlining & communicating priorities for capability planning
• Partner with GCL, and regions ,to define pricing guidelines to reflect value and willingness to pay, packaging unique service offerings into pricing models
• Review and prioritize projects
• Provide BUs capability support in rolling out new/revised pricing models

Enabling growth

• Setup and drive performance management system
• Cascade down global COO KPIs and agree targets with regional capability leads
• Liaise with practice managers and finance team to collect data quarterly data on COO KPIs
• Track adherence to pricing guidelines and identify key changes needed to improve as-delivered margin (in partnership with Deliver Work) and prevent margin erosion

Driving best practice & collaboration

• Setup and drive periodic forums for sharing of best practices – and measure results
• Maintain central repository of best practices and appoint individuals across the globe as first alerts
• Set global priorities for practice excellence – in partnership with RCLs and GCL
• Identify and deploy resources across region to drive key initiatives
• Enhance connectivity and collaboration across the organization by supporting initiative / networks
• Deliver work: create overall feedback loops needed between regional practice teams and central deliver work team; embed global standards set by GCL
• Manage and lead the Global Practice process in partnership with the GPLs

Skills and Qualifications

• Project management experience at global scale
• Ability to critically review and improve initiatives – pushing to accelerate dates and capture full value
• Respected as a technical leader within the organization
• Excellent communication skills and analytical skills
• Ability to coach others and to execute on short intervals
• Results orientation with a strong work ethic. Must be tenacious, with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches
• Collaborative across all areas of the business and with cross functional partners
• Ability to problem solve leveraging critical thinking skills

Qualifications

• Masters / MBA preferred with a focus on project management, or economics
• Deep technical understanding of capability
• Deep understanding of the markets served by AtkinsRéalis
• A personal network made up of leaders across the organization
• Nice to have: prior experience within a PPM global practice
