We are seeking a SmartPlant Administrator/ Designer to join our team in Kirkland, WA, to lead and work on various Administrator/Designer and Industrial projects. Our team is looking for a full time experienced SmartPlant Administrator / Designer to join our growing team. The Administrator/Designer's primary responsibility will be to provide administrative, installation, configuration, maintenance, and operational support of the SmartPlant Software Suite (SPI, SPPID, SP3D). We are a team of multi-discipline engineers and designers who work together in collaboration on upgrades to existing facilities and new projects.   There has never been a better time to join our team.

How will you contribute to the team?

Under the direction of Design Team members and/or engineers, the Employee will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Perform SmartPlant Administration duties such as project creation/setup, report development, instrument datasheet customization, and system maintenance/operational support as required for the SmartPlant Software Suite (SPI, SPPID, SP3D) utilized by the Kirkland, WA Engineering and Design Group.
  • Maintaining SmartPlant database SQL Servers.
  • Creating and updating SQL queries and SRSS Reports as required.
  • Perform drafting work using SmartPlant tools such as Smart Sketch, or other common software tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.

What will you contribute?

Candidate should have the following skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience (as a minimum):

  • Minimum two years of experience as a SmartPlant Administrator, providing daily maintenance and operational support of the SmartPlant Software Suite (SPI, SPPID, SP3D).  Experience with Intergraph Smart Licensing (ISL) Keystores in the Hexagon Cloud is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining SmartPlant database SQL servers.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries and SRSS Reports.
  • Previous experience as an Instrument & Controls (I&C) Designer or Drafter working in industrial or power plant design is considered a plus. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Office. 
  • Strong knowledge of drafting and design standards and techniques in electrical, mechanical, piping, structural or instrumentation drafting is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, having AutoCAD 2D and 3D training and be able to use standard AutoCAD system tools.
  • Have a strong knowledge of AutoCAD drafting standards including Paper Space / Model Space and adhering to Company drafting standards.
  • Experience drafting and maintaining P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) using SmartPlant SPPID as well as AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with maintaining project files of previous revisions per ISO 9001 policies a plus.
  • Have the ability to work independently with moderate supervision upon assignment of tasks. Will require some technical and/or procedural help.
  • Be highly motivated, proactive and show a focused approach to the tasks at hand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Limit Company internet usage to work related activities per established company guidelines.
  • Follow Company policies, design guidelines and work instructions as found on SLCI Intranet (SharePoint).
  • Have a positive work ethic and act in a professional manner.

Working Conditions:

  • AtkinsRéalis has implemented a hybrid work model and flex place, allowing the job duties and responsibilities to be performed in both a traditional office environment as well as telecommuting from a remote location. In the office environment, the position generally involves continuous sitting; frequent standing; frequent walking; light to moderate lifting; light carrying; frequent bending and reaching; keyboarding and telephone operation.
  • The office environmental conditions generally include ambient inside temperature, lighting, and noise levels. Conditions may also include automobile and/or airplane transport as well as plan site inspections. May require an irregular work schedule with extended periods of travel and overtime hours.

Expected compensation range is between $49.00 - $62.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
