Communications and Customer Service Assistant

Atkins, Balfour Beatty and Egis Road Operations, are part of a consortium, creating Connect Plus Services, a unique partnership with a collective strength in highways asset care from finance, through to design, build, maintenance as well as day to day operation.

As part of our 30-year remit to manage and improve the capital’s orbital motorway network, we deliver major improvement projects, such widening 38 miles of the M25, refurbishing tunnels and bridges, and installing hundreds of variable messaging signs and gantries, helping to maximise the use of the network and deliver more reliable journeys. We also manage the Dartford River crossing, and operate and maintain 440 kilometres of motorway providing our customer and road user with a world-class highway service.

About the Role

We have an exciting role available to join the Connect Plus Services Communications Team as a Communications & Customer Services Executive, based in Dartford.

The main purpose of this role is to support the Communications team in all aspects of scheme communications, as well as working with customers to respond to their enquiries.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

·    Work with project managers to understand the scope of Connect Plus Services schemes

·    Have involvement in drafting and implementing highways scheme communications plans

·    Draft supporting communications materials including letters and emails

·    Undertake regular stakeholder and customer liaison, including responding to customer enquiries via letters, emails and telephone

·    Use an internal database to manage customer enquiries

·    Input into our stakeholder database to ensure it is kept up-to-date

Who we’re looking for

·    Someone with the ability to work under pressure, on multiple projects and deadlines;

·    Experience in a customer service role;

·    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·    High attention to detail
